AgriProspects Mini-Grant – Round 2

AgriProspects Mini-Grant – Round 2

The Extension Foundation is now accepting proposals for Round 2 of the AgriProspects Mini-Grant Program. This opportunity supports Cooperative Extension programs that aim to expand non-traditional, non-credit adult agricultural workforce development (AAWD) through digital credentialing and artificial intelligence tools. The mini-grants are intended to bolster Extension’s internal capacity and external engagement with AAWD across rural and urban communities by funding regional or national-scale projects. Land-grant institutions are encouraged to apply, regardless of Extension Foundation membership status.

Program Goals:
  1. Strengthen Extension’s capacity to deliver digital credentialing for adult agricultural workforce development in rural and urban areas.
  2. Advance Extension’s ability to educate around and leverage AI tools in agriculture and supply chain sectors.

Strong applications should:

  • Encourage regional or national-scale, practice-oriented projects that advance program goals.
  • Focus on competency-based education and skill-building for the agricultural workforce.
  • Clearly define target audiences, learning objectives, and project outcomes.
  • Integrate input from end users and partners in project development and delivery.
  • Leverage the unique capabilities and resources of Extension and external organizations.
