Enter UC ANR Photography Contest by Aug. 29

All UC ANR employees, staff and academics  are invited to share their most captivating, creative, and meaningful images to win prizes and bragging rights in the 2025 UC ANR Photography Contest.

2025 Theme: “Serving Californians”

Submit photos that reflect your experiences and perspectives in one or more of the following five categories:

  • Agricultural Landscape – Farm scenes, crops, livestock, and the rural environment
  • Nature – Wildlife, water in the environment and natural landscapes
  • Urban Landscape – City scenes, street life, and everything urban
  • Family and Friends – Celebrate your people
  • A Day in the Field – Work-related moments that capture the spirit of what we do

Contest Rules

  1. Open to all UC ANR employees, staff, and academics.
  2. Participants may submit entries in all five categories.
  3. If your photo includes any identifiable person who is not a UC ANR employee, you must submit a signed release form for each person (adult or minor).
  4. A maximum of three photos per person per category.

How to Submit

  • Email your photos to Ricardo Vela
  • Deadline: Aug. 29, 2025
  • Resolution: Photos must be at least 300 dpi
  • Please include your name in the file name

Prizes & Recognition

  • The top winner in each category will receive a $50 gift card
  • Five honorable mentions will each receive a $25 gift card
  • Winning entries will be featured during a UC ANR Town Hall and displayed in an art exhibit at the Davis office breakroom (TBA)
  • All submissions will be stored in UC ANR’s image library and may be featured in UC ANR materials (presentations, websites, social media), with credit to the photographer
