Join us for online interactive trainings to help you with planning and evaluating programs and projects, engaging California communities, civil rights compliance, and evaluating your programs and assessing their impact. These trainings highlight UCCE examples. For 2025, we have added a few brown bag sessions to showcase tech tools and best practices for evaluation planning. This is a 15-part series offered a la carte, select whichever interests you or take the complete series!

Audience: CE academics, community educators, and other program staff. NEW CE Advisors, academics, County Directors, and regional program supervisors are highly encouraged; taking the entire series can build overall program development competencies and is encouraged.

We're excited to invite you to the next session in the Built Environment Rx series: Hosted by Dan Cronan, assistant professor at Washington State University’s School of Design and Construction, this session will explore how green infrastructure — like green roofs, urban vegetation and stormwater systems — can serve as powerful tools for healthier, more equitable cities.

Built Environment, Rx is a five-part webinar series (June–November 2025) and publication invitation that brings together researchers, planners, designers, engineers, Extension professionals and community leaders to explore how living systems (such as water, vegetation and soil) can shape a more resilient and equitable urban future.

Each monthly session highlights interdisciplinary approaches to green infrastructure and urban design, bridging science and practice through case studies, applied research and community-engaged strategies. Topics include bioretention systems, building-integrated agriculture, climate-ready infrastructure, policy innovation, participatory design and digital planning tools.

This session introduces practical ways to use private databases for organizing digital records in Extension work, agriculture and beyond. Presenters Dennis Buckmaster and Adam Shanks share how tools like Airtable can streamline data collection through customizable templates and mobile-friendly forms. Participants learn how to track agriculture activities like fieldwork by capturing key information such as who, what, when and where on an airtable (cloud-based platform). It also includes links to ready-to-use templates and resources to help you get started with your own digital recordkeeping system.
