Bees are VIPs - Very Important Pollinators.

If you have apple or pear trees in your home orchard, you are no doubt familiar with codling moths. They're the moths that are responsible for wormy fruit, and unless you take steps to control these pests, they can destroy most of your apple or pear crop.

The Modesto Pollinator Festival is Coming! This free, family-friendly event happens Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the La Loma Native Garden in Modesto at 1805 Encina Way. There will be many opportunities to learn about pollinators, as well as fun activities for children.

The UCCE Stanislaus County Master Gardeners are excited to bring you our very first class about citrus! We are holding this class on Zoom so we can record it and post it to our YouTube Channel. Citrus trees are one of the most popular fruit trees grown in California.

Recently, we recorded two videos on growing spring vegetables. The presentation reviewed how to prepare your garden soil, choose the plants you'd like to grow, and how to grow plants from seed or transplants.
