The introduction and spread of invasive species in California’s waterways have wide-ranging consequences, from impeding water delivery systems to damaging recreation areas and wetland ecosystems. In this webinar, Martha Volkoff from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Invasive Species Program will discuss aquatic invasive species like golden mussels and nutria. She will also share simple actions you can take to help protect our waters from these destructive pests.

UC IPM’s new Invasive Species Mini-Series explores the many ways invasive species impact our lives, from harmful garden pests and aquatic hitchhikers to destructive tree pests, invasive weeds, and the policies that guide prevention and response.
Join them from 11 am–noon on the first Wednesday of each month to learn about invasive pests and their impacts in California. The series is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. All webinars will be recorded and posted to their YouTube channel in case you miss one!
